Unconfirmed reports reaching BEATWAVES indicate that one of Ghana’s female singers, Diamond Appiah, known in showbiz circles as Diamond, last week attempted to commit suicide.

Perhaps, what has engineered this report is the fact that she was found collapsed in her room last week with some prescribed drugs spread on the floor in her room.

Some of her friends who spoke to BEATWAVES stated that they were shocked when they heard the rumour that Diamond had attempted to commit suicide.

According to them, Diamond’s cell phone was off throughout the weekend so they could not reach her to confirm or deny the rumour.

They confirmed that they had seen a picture of Diamond lying unconscious on the floor with some tablets spread around her.

The diva, who has three hit music videos to her credit, on June 1 became the toast of hundreds of Ghanaian music fans in Ghana when she released her hit single, ‘Kaa Fe Dull’.

The hit single was premiered on some selected radio stations in the UK, Canada and Nigeria and played in the Big Brother House.

Diamond’s ‘Popping’ was nominated at last year’s Vodafone 4Syte Music Video Awards in the Best Female Video of the Year category.

The diva of all divas believes that her hit singles and videos have the capability to compete on the international music scene.
