"I Can Never Reconcile With My Ex"

Nollywood actress Ayo Adesanya has told Nollywood media that she does not think she will ever reconcile with her ex-husband Goriola Hassan.

That, she said, would never happen because they were not compatible.

“Capital no; I don’t see anything of such happening. We are not just compatible. We can never reconcile, never,” she reportedly told Nigeriafilms.com

The two were married for about eight years but in 2008, things took a new turn when Ayo packed out of her matrimonial home with all her belongings from their Banire Street Surulere, Lagos residence to an undisclosed place while Goriola had gone clubbing with friends.

Prior to the time, Ayo had moved out of the matrimonial home several times.

Reasons for their break-up were not well established but Ayo Adesanya claimed she was not happy in the marriage.

“Yes I packed out of the house in the middle of the night. I don’t want to relive my past,” she was quoted last week.

Both the actress and her ex-husband had the same tattoo on their arms.

That obviously was a sign of an attachment but Ayo Adesanya has been undergoing series of surgeries abroad to get rid of the tattoo.

“I am just tired of having tattoos on me. I have mellowed now on all those stuffs. I am now more spiritual and my religious inclination kicks against it,” she explained.

Ayo started acting in1996 and featured in a number of Nigerian movies. Currently, she can be called a veteran actress.

Ayo is well remembered across Africa for her roles in movies as ‘Most Wanted’, ‘Gbokogboko’,’ Tears In My Heart’, ‘Dark Secret’, ‘Dangerous Babe’, ‘Contractor’, ‘Mother’s Help’, ‘Throwing Stones’, ‘What I Want’, ‘Expensive Plot’ , ‘Fire Dancer’, ‘On Holiday’ and ‘Saving Alero’.

She told Nigeria’s Sun in 2009 she went off the English movie scene because her ex-husband was giving her a tough time.
